MSP abroad - #IASP2011

Oh dear… it’s been a while since our last blog post hasn’t it?

We’re sorry for the lack of posts, it’s been a bit crazy round here with lots of international conferences, overseas delegations, lots of new tenants and general office excitement - by the end of this year there will have been three weddings and two babies, must be something in the water!

One of the most exciting recent events was the International Association of Science Parks World Conference, held at the end of June in Copenhagen.

L-R: Justyna Dabrowska, Jane Davies, Lynne Barlow, Jan Hilton

Four msp staff members attended, with two presenting papers on ‘Measuring the success of science parks’ and ‘msp: A small science park with a big brand’. Both were received extremely well and the conference itself was a great success, bringing together more than 550 delegates from 55 countries.

All the presentations were documented by an in-house cartoonist who captured each seminar as they took place - below is the drawing of Justyna giving her presentation.

It was a fantastic event that has already led to a to a visit from a Brazilian delegation keen to learn more about our business model.

Those of us who held the fort back in the office heard rumours of some great dance moves going on at the Gala Dinner but, oddly, those pictures did not make their way back to us!
